Vice president and first lady kicked off the tour on Monday.
On Monday, the president’s administration began its tour of the country to bring attention to the positive aspects of the recently passed COVID-19 relief plan. The $1.9 trillion plan includes direct payments to eligible Americans of $1400 and funding for vaccinations. The White House dubbed the cross-country trip the “Help is Here” tour. Vice President Harris began her travel by visiting a vaccination site in Las Vegas. First Lady Dr. Jill Biden visited a New Jersey elementary school.
President Biden explained that the reason for the tour was to better educate Americans on the benefits of the relief plan, an action that wasn’t done well during the Obama presidency. He said, “I learned from my experience implementing the Recovery Act just how important it is to have someone who can manage all the moving parts with efficiency, speed and integrity, and accountability.” The president will join the tour on Tuesday while visiting Pennsylvania.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the Lord to keep the president, vice president, and first family safe on their travels.
- That God would give the president’s administration wisdom as they reach the nation about the benefits of the recovery plan.
- That God would guide the president as efforts are made to improve the economy.
